UT Dallas Communications Disorders Program Admissions Requirements

Admission requirements for The CSD program at UT Dallas include:

  • College transcripts (there is no GPA requirement bust most accepted applicants have a 3.2 or higher)
  • GRE scores
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Statement of purpose
  • Application

International applicants must provide additional scores and information.

UT Dallas CSD Prerequisite Requirements

While applicants without a degree in communication sciences may take prerequisites before applying, they are not required. Those who have not taken foundational coursework in CSD will take those courses as part of the master’s program, adding on an additional semester of full time study.

UT Dallas CSD Program Length

The program takes 5 semesters and 48 credit hours to complete, 6 semesters if the student has not taken foundation coursework in communication sciences and disorders. Spring, summer, and fall start dates are available for the program.

Each semester includes a practicum or internship component where students work to get the clinical hours necessary to become a speech pathologist.
