Learn More about Speech@Emerson Sponsored UNCO Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology Admissions Requirements Those who wish to apply to the speech pathology program at University of Northern Colorado must submit the following to the Communication Sciences and Disorders Centralized Application Service (CSDCAS): Application Transcripts from all colleges attended, demonstrating a 3.0 GPA or higher GRE test scores from within the last 5 years Three letters of recommendations- at least 2 from professors, one may be from someone with whom the applicant has a professional relationship Letter of intent Additionally, applicants must submit: Graduate school application to the university Application fee- $50 or $60 for international students International applicants must provide additional scores and information. UNCO Speech Pathology Prerequisite Requirements If an applicant does not hold a degree in communication disorders, speech-language sciences, or audiology, they must complete the prerequisite coursework which is listed here on their website. UNCO Speech Pathology Program Length The program is a 2 year program requiring 61-75 credit hours. The program includes two clinical practicums- one in a public school setting and one in a medical setting. UNCO Online Speech Pathology Master’s Program UNCO offers a 3 year online speech pathology program option that can be taken from anywhere in the country. It is designed to accommodate students who are employed or who have family commitments. Students can only participate in the program if they are employed as Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), are under a Temporary Teacher Endorsement, or the equivalent. Classes are delivered in an asynchronous format and the only on campus requirement is two weeks in July during the first summer of the program. Clinical requirements will be completed at the site where the student is an SLPA. Additional hours will be required if the site is not at a school. Additionally, a final 12 week internship will take place in a medical setting during the last summer of the program.
